Why Thailand?

Ever since I was young, I always fascinated by other cultures. Being an African Immigrant to the US at the age of 6, I always looked at things from a different perspective. Seeing how other people lived in other countries really captivated me. SE Asia is an immensely dynamic region that has a vast range of cultures, languages, foods, sights and people. Originally, I had an obsession with Cambodia and its history of the genocide. I wanted to study abroad there but I couldn’t many rich options for the country. The next option was Thailand. I realized that I didn’t care for study abroad (and it was super expensive). I decided upon a volunteer abroad program with Learning Enterprises. I’ll be journeying in Thailand as a Primary School Teacher for 2 months. Hope you stick around.
